We woke up nice and early to get churched up and head to breakfast with all the luggage intoed, we had to drop it off at the train station because we checked out the our hotel and who wants to carry around 60 lb’s of luggage! So after handing off all my personal belongings to a man I didn’t know and praying that I would see it again, we headed to the bus station, and another bus station and a little walk and another bus, and bam…church! I have so much appreciation for those members who travels so long, and sacrifice so much to be members and attend their meetings. You can tell the conviction and faith by the spirit in the meetings. It wasn’t two seconds after walking through the doors that the members quickly tried to find the missionaries, and escorted us into an Italian Sunday school, it was so awesome to hear the same things being taught the same thing everywhere we go, hearing familiar words like family, Joseph Smith, and Jesus Christ. We then headed upstairs for church, with beautiful wood beamed ceilings and hardwood floors and beautiful shear covered windows. After a rejuvenating meeting we headed back into the city to head back to Ducale Piazza which house the Doge’s Palace, St. Mark’s, the Campanile Tower…which we wanted to head up to see the great views of Venice. It was so great, I didn’t realize how many islands there were and just how much there is to see. I really need like 5 weeks just in Venice, we wondered up on top for a bit and used one of those fun little view finder things! Messed around shopping and relaxing…of all the locations, this felt most like a vacation. Strolling the streets, shopping, just really experiencing the rhythm of Italy. We sat down and enjoyed a slice of fabulous pizza and there were hundreds of pigeons so Mal and I naturally wanted to feed the birds, yes were 7! It was such a blast! My favorite was running though them and having them all fly…like parting the red sea!
